Dr. Gabriel Maislos is a board-certified podiatrist at Houston Foot and Ankle Care and a highly experienced Principal Investigator in clinical research. He is recognized for both his clinical expertise and his commitment to advancing podiatric medicine through innovative research.
Since 2012, Dr. Maislos has served as a Principal Investigator on more than 30 clinical trials.
His experience spans all phases of clinical trials, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of study design, execution, and patient-centered outcomes. Dr. Maislos integrates evidence-based research into clinical practice, helping advance treatment strategies and elevate standards of care within podiatry.
Francisco R. Maislos, MD
Cardiologist & Clinical Research Investigator
Dr. Francisco R. Maislos is a Houston-based cardiologist with over 20 years of clinical experience and a longstanding commitment to cardiovascular clinical research.
He is affiliated with leading institutions, including Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital and Houston Physicians Hospital, and earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
Dr. Maislos specializes in the treatment and management of:

Dr. Linda Nachmani, DPM
Sub-Investigator | Clinical Trials Specialist
Dr. Linda Nachmani is a skilled podiatric physician and Sub-Investigator in clinical research with a strong foundation in both clinical care and research operations.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Binghamton and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. She completed her residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and advanced her surgical training through the Houston Podiatric Foundation.
Since 2020, Dr. Nachmani has contributed to clinical trials as a Sub-Investigator, supporting study execution across podiatric and related therapeutic areas. She holds Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification, ensuring adherence to the highest standards in clinical research, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.
Elaine Chavira, SOM
Site Operations Manager
Elaine Chavira is an experienced clinical research coordinator with nearly a decade of experience in clinical trial operations. Since 2015, she has played a key role in patient recruitment, study coordination, and site management.
Elaine holds an Associate of Science degree and has built a diverse research portfolio across multiple therapeutic areas, including:

Elaine also contributed to COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials, successfully navigating complex operational challenges while supporting critical, time-sensitive research. Her dedication to advancing medicine plays a vital role in ensuring efficient study execution and high-quality research outcomes.
Andrea Miller
Study Coordinator
Andrea is an aspiring physician with three years of research experience spanning both public health and clinical studies. She began her research journey at UT Southwestern, contributing to the Dallas Heart and Minds Study, where she investigated the roles of biomarkers and lifestyle factors in cardiovascular risk. This work also deepened her understanding of health disparities across diverse populations.
In addition, she participated in a clinical study evaluating injection therapy for plantar fibromas, where she observed meaningful reductions in fibroma size alongside improved patient mobility. This experience strengthened her interest in translational, patient-centered research that directly impacts clinical outcomes.
Complementing her research experience, she worked as a medical assistant in podiatry, where she supported patient care and gained firsthand insight into how clinical practice and research intersect to improve patient outcomes.
